We feel that fertility is a large part to the success of a profitable dairy or beef herd and we can carry out regular routine herd fertility visits using ultrasound scanning. Here we can perform post-calving checks, ensure open cows are healthy and ready for service, scan pregnancies from 28 days post service and ensure empty cows are treated or synchronised promptly.
Poor fertility will impact farm profits through lost milk, fewer replacement heifers and less calves to sell. The health and feeding of your herd will impact significantly on the fertility and so we aim to regularly assess and discuss herd health at the routine fertility visits.
